After several trips to Las Vegas this year, I was finally able to make my way out to visit Hoover Dam. Unfortunately, I decided against taking the tour of the dam, (I later was informed by a friend, the inside is just as amazing as the outside.) and only spent time walking the top. If you happen to find yourself in Vegas, and want a break from losing your money, take a trip out to check out the Hoover Dam, it’s quite an amazing accomplishment. Taken using a Canon 7D
A short time lapse I made the other day while photographing the snow in the hills near my house in Rancho Santa Margarita. This was 8 minutes of footage I sped up to be only 30 seconds long. Taken using a Canon 7D.
After countless attempts at creating HDR images, I finally had a few turn out the way I wanted them too. Now that I’ve figured out how to get the look I was going for I hope to come up with many more. Taken using a Canon 7D, edited in Photomatix.
Chinese New Years was on Thursday, but the celebrations continued through the weekend. We headed out the the Hsi Lai Temple to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, with the Chinese New Year Peace Lantern Festival. There was plenty of good food, music, and good times to be had for all.
One of the things that caught my interest was the wishing tree, for a $5 donation you were given 2 coins with a ribbons attached, once you’ve made your wish, you tossed the coin into the tree, and hopefully your wish comes true. I managed to capture a few good shots of the tree itself, some of the coins hanging, and a coin mid air after being thrown. Happy New Year! Taken using a Canon 7D.
I received this Walter Payton autographed football 16 years ago, from a family member. The ink has faded quite a bit, but the name and number are still legible. This is probably one of my favorites in my collection of collectibles. Taken using a Canon 7D.
