The other night my wife and I were sitting at home watching an episode of Sugar High on the Food Network. Duff made his way to a small restaurant called Auntie Em’s Kitchen in Eagle Rock, California to try out their super thin crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle chocolate chip cookies. After watching the episode, we knew we had to try them. So Saturday morning we made our way to Eagle Rock to search out Auntie Em’s Kitchen. Upon arriving, we realized parking was a bit of a challenge, there really wasn’t anywhere that we could see to park. After a couple of laps around the block we finally got a 15 minute spot right out front, perfect amount of time for what we where after.
So were the cookies worth the 45 minute drive? Absolutely! I don’t think I’ve ever had cookies so delicious! They had the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and chewy towards the middle, the chocolate chips they use are Guittard wafers which work perfect in the Thin and Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies. If you ever happen to end up in Eagle Rock, I definitely recommend checking Auntie Em’s Kitchen.
